8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom [in the latter time of the four divisions of Alexander’s kingdom (Dan. 8:22): the Revived Grecian Empire, which follows establishment of the Revised Roman Empire (Rev. 17:8; Rev. 17:9; Rev. 17:16-17; see also Endnotes #8 and 9, The Chronological Order of Revelation; see also Chapter 13 and Chapter 17 in The Book of Revelation In Verse-by-Verse Outline); see also How To Quickly Locate the Antichrist in Scripture],
 when the transgressors are come to the full,
 a king
[a.] of fierce countenance, and
[b.] understanding dark sentences,
[11.] shall stand up.
 his power shall be mighty,
[a.] but not by his own power [his power comes from Satan]: and
 he shall destroy wonderfully,
[a.] and shall prosper,
[b.] and practice, and
 [he] shall destroy
[a.] the mighty and
 through his policy also
[a.] he shall cause craft to prosper
[11.] in his hand; and
 he shall magnify [himself]
[a.] in his heart [the spirit of pride, which goes before destruction and a fall (Pro. 16:18)] and
 by peace shall destroy many [the Antichrist receives his power by flattery and peaceable means]:
 he shall also stand up
[a.] against the Prince of princes [Jesus];
[b.] but he shall be broken without hand.
 the vision
[a.] of the evening and
[b.] [of] the morning [2300 evenings and mornings, or 1150 days (3 years, 2 months and 10 days); (Dan. 8:13-14)]
[11.] which was told
[aa.] [is] true:
 shut thou up the vision;
[The vision is for 2300 evenings and mornings, or 1150 days (3 years, 2 months and 20 days; see Dakes Annotated Reference Bible, pg. 875). This is 110 days short of the 1260 days, 42 months (30-day months); or time, times, and a half (time = one 360-day year / times = two 360-day years / a half = half a year or 180 days—all of which equals the same 1260 days or 42 months) of:
 The 2 witnesses (Rev. 11:3); <1260 days>
 Israel’s flight into the wilderness (Rev. 12:6); <1260 days>
 Israel's flight in to the wilderness (Rev. 12:14); <time, times, and a half>
8:27 And I Daniel fainted, and was sick [certain] days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood [it].
