EZEKIEL 37 Pg 3

Both Judah and Ephraim shall be re-gathered from among the nations

37:21  And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold,

[1] I will take the children of Israel

[a.] from among the heathen [nations],

[11.] whither they be gone, and

[2] [I] will gather them on every side, and

[3] [I will] bring them into their own land:

 37:22  And

[4] I will make them one nation

                        [a.] in the land

[b.] upon the mountains of Israel [upon the West Bank, which is biblical Samaria (Ezekiel 38:8)]; and

[5] one king [David (vs.24)] shall be king to them all: and

[6] they shall be no more two nations,

[7] neither shall they be divided

[a.] into two kingdoms any more at all:

37:23  [8] Neither shall they defile themselves any more

[a.]  with their idols,

[b.] nor with their detestable things,

[c.] nor with any of their transgressions: but

[9] I will save them out of all their dwelling places,

[a.] wherein they have sinned, and

            [10. [I] will cleanse them:

[a.] so shall they be my people,

[b.] and I will be their God.

 37:24  And

[11.] David my servant [shall be] king over them; and

[12.] they all shall have one shepherd [Jesus]:

[13.] they shall also walk in my judgments,

                        [a.] and observe my statutes,

                        [b.] and do them.

 37:25  And

[14.] they shall dwell in the land

[a.] that I have given unto Jacob my servant,

[b.] wherein your fathers have dwelt; and

[15.] they shall dwell therein, [even] they,

                        [a.] and their children,

                        [b.] and their children's children

[11.] for ever [Israel has an earthly hope:  the land forever]: and

[16.] my servant David [shall be] their prince

[a.] for ever. [David has an earthly hope: King over Israel, forever].

God’s everlasting covenant of peace with Israel

 37:26  Moreover

            [17.] I will make a covenant of peace [Is. 54:10] with them;

[a.] it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and

            [18.] I will

                        [a.] place them, and

                        [b.] multiply them, and will

[c.] set my sanctuary in the midst of them [the millennial temple of Ezekiel 48]

[11.] for evermore [worship will never again cease]

37:27  [19] My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea,

[20] I will be their God, and

[21] they shall be my people.

 37:28  And

[22] the heathen [nations] shall know

[a.] that I the LORD do sanctify Israel,

[b.] when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them

                                    [11.] for evermore.
