REVELATION 21

The New Jerusalem is Post Millennium

Rev. 21:1  And I saw

            [1] a new heaven and

            [2] a new earth: for

                        [a.] the first heaven and

                        [b.] the first earth

                                    [11.] were passed away; and

[12.] there was no more sea.

 21:2  And I John saw

            [1] the holy city,

                        [a.] new Jerusalem,

[2] coming down from God out of heaven,

[a.] prepared as a bride [The bride of Christ is not the city, but the people in it (c/p. Matt. 23:37)]

                                    [11.] adorned for her husband.

 21:3  And I heard

[1] a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold,

[a.] the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and

[b.] he will dwell with them, and

[11.] they shall be his people, and

                                    [12.] God himself

                                                [aa.] shall be with them,

[bb.] [and shall be] their God.

21:4  And                   [13.] God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and

[14.] there shall be no more death,

                                                [aa.] neither sorrow,

                                                [bb.] nor crying,

[cc.] neither shall there be any more pain:

[111.] for the former things are passed away.

[This passage, taken in its context, shows that many who have and will yet come into the heavenly city have or will come by way of a martyr’s death.]

 21:5  And

[1] he that sat upon the throne said,

[a.] Behold, I make all things new. And

            [2] he said unto me,

[a.] Write: for these words are true and faithful.

 21:6  And

            [3] he said unto me,

                        [a.] It is done.

                        [b.] I am

                                    [11.] Alpha and Omega,

                                    [12.] the beginning and

                                    [13.] the end.

[c.] I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

21:7               [d.] He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and

[11.] I will be his God, and

[12.] he shall be my son.

 21:8               [f.] But the

                                    [11.] fearful, and

                                    [12.] unbelieving, and the

                                    [13.] abominable, and

                                    [14.] murderers, and

                                    [15.] whoremongers, and

                                    [16.] sorcerers, and

                                    [17.] idolaters, and

                                    [18.] all liars,

[aa.] shall have their part in the lake which burneth

                                                [111.] with fire and

                                                [bb.] [with] brimstone:

[111.] which is the second death. (Rev.20:14)
