21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven ~~angels~~ [messengers]

[1] which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues,

[2] and talked with me, saying,

[a.] Come hither,

[b.] I will show thee the bride,

[11.] the Lamb's wife.

The New Jerusalem

21:10 And

[1] he carried me away

[a.] in the spirit

[b.] to a great and high mountain, and

[2] [he] showed me

[a.] that great city,

[b.] the holy Jerusalem,

[11.] descending out of heaven

[aa1.] from God,

21:11 [12.] Having

[aa.] the glory of God: and

[bb.] her light [was]

[111.] like unto a stone most precious, even

[112.] like a jasper stone,

[aaa.] clear as crystal;

21:12 And had

[13] a wall great and high, [and] had

[14] twelve gates, and at the gates

[aa.] twelve angels, and

[bb.] names written thereon, which are

[111.] [the names] of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

21:13 [cc.] On the east three gates;

[dd.] on the north three gates;

[ee.] on the south three gates; and

[ff.] on the west three gates.

21:14 And

[15] the wall of the city

[aa.] had twelve foundations, and

[111.] in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb [Peter, then Paul, then the remaining apostles (except Judas Iscariot)].

21:15 And he that talked with me [vs. 9]

[1] had a golden reed to measure

[a.] the city, and

[b.] the gates thereof, and

[c.] the wall thereof.
