WITH THE CALL COMES THE ANOINTING

The Call of God

2 Timothy 1:5  When I call to remembrance the unfeigned [sincere] faith that is in thee… 6  Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7  For God hath not given us [me] the spirit of fear; but of power [Anointing], and of love, and of a sound mind. 8  Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony [His Word] of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

9                    Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began [Jer. 1:5], 10  But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

11               Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle [a sent one], and a teacher of the Gentiles. 12  For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

13      Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 14  That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us [me].

The Anointing Upon: For Service and Ministry

When the Anointing comes upon for service and ministry, there are many additional benefits that accompany this Anointing in order to carry out the calling which God has placed on one’s life.  Many of these benefits are revealed in the tenth chapter of First Samuel.

1.  With the Anointing comes purpose.

1 Samuel  10:1  Then Samuel took a vial of oil [the Anointing], and poured [it] upon his head, and kissed him, and said, [Is it] not because the LORD hath anointed thee [to be] captain over his inheritance [new purpose in life]?

2.  With the Anointing comes Divine appointments and restoration.

10:2  When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel's sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?

3.  With the Anointing comes supernatural power to progress and move forward.

10:3  Then [when the Anointing comes] shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men [more Divine appointments] going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine:

4.  With the Anointing comes supernatural supply.

10:4  And they will salute thee, and give thee two [loaves] of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands.

5.  With the Anointing comes the Holy Spirit and His gifts.

10:5  After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where [is] the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy:

10:6  And the spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

6.  With the Anointing signs will follow the presence of God upon you.

10:7  And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, [that] thou do as occasion serve thee; for God [is] with thee

7.  With the Anointing comes supernatural direction.

10:8  And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, [and] to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and show thee what thou shalt do [the Anointing requires waiting on God  to receive His instructions].

8.  With the Anointing you are turned into another person with a new heart.

10:9  And it was [so], that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.

9.  With the Anointing people will take notice of you.

10:10  And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.

10:11  And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What [is] this [that] is come unto the son of Kish? [Is] Saul also among the prophets?

10:12  And one of the same place answered and said, But who [is] their father? Therefore it became a proverb, [Is] Saul also among the prophets?

10.  With the Anointing you will come to your high place in God.

10:13  And when he had made an end of prophesying, he came to the high place [in God].

THE SEPARATION OF WALTER FOR THE WORK

1 Timothy 4:12  Let no man despise thy youth [newness in the ministry]; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation [manner of life], in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 13  Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14  Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. 15  Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 16  Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
