Where are the prophets? They should be leaping for joy! Why? Because God is shaking Israel...literally!
Israel has not had any strong earthquake since 1099, but experienced two tremors on November 19, 2007: the first at 3.0 on the Richter scale, and the second at 4.1. On the following day, November 20th, it experienced a third earth quake at 4.1 on the Richter scale. What is God doing?
I strongly believe and have for years expected that God would shake the earth and move the geological plates underneath Israel and the Middle Eastern oil nations to drain back into Israel the oil and gas that geologists know was present at one time. I also believe that God removed this oil because of national disobedience toward Him, quite possibly in the massive earthquake referred to in Zechariah 15:5, which occurred in the days of Uzziah, King of Judah.
Proverbs 13: 22...[T]he wealth of the sinner [is] laid up for the just, is an Old Covenant promise. It applies to Israel as much as it does to the Church. We in the Church often forget this. Also, we in the Church are very, very, very, very slow to get a handle on our covenant of wealth...But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power [an Anointing] to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant [the Abrahamic Covenant which produced wealth (c/p. Gen. 13:2)] which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day (Deut. 8:18). Jews believe that they should be wealthy: most of the Church does not.
When Israel recognizes that the oil is back, it will both revolutionize the nation itself as well as the world financial markets. Israel will become the bankers of the world...and hated even more!
