REVELATION 11 Pg 2

The two witnesses are overcome by the Antichrist

 11:7  And

[1] when they shall have finished their testimony,

[a.] the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit [the abyss; Rev. 9:1-2 and Rev. 9:11] shall

[11.] make war against them, and shall

                                    [12.] overcome them, and

                                    [13.] kill them.

 11:8

[b.] And their dead bodies [shall lie] in the street of the great city

[11.] which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt [sexual depravity and worldiness: the days of Lot],

[12.] where also our Lord was crucified [Jerusalem].

The whole world watches

 11:9  And

            [2] they of the

                        [a.] people and

                        [b.] kindreds and

                        [c.] tongues and

[d.] nations [these are the attributes of both the world and the Church (c/p. Rev. 7:9 and Rev. 5:9)]shall

[11.] see their dead bodies

[aa.] three days and an half, and shall

[12.] not suffer their dead bodies

[aa.] to be put in graves.

11:10  And they that dwell upon the earth shall

            [1] rejoice over them, and

            [2] make merry, and shall

            [3] send gifts one to another;

[a.] because these two prophets tormented them

[11.] that dwelt on the earth.

The resurrection and ascension of the two witnesses

11:11  And after three days and an half

[1] the Spirit of life from God

[a.] entered into them, and

[2] they stood upon their feet; and

[3] great fear fell upon them which saw them.

 11:12  And

[4] they heard a great voice from heaven

                        [a.] saying unto them,

[11.] Come up hither [c/p. Rev. 4:1]. And

[5] they ascended up to heaven

[a.] in a cloud; and

            [6] their enemies beheld them.

The rocks cry out for the second time*

[The end of the days of Lot]

11:13  And the same hour [c/p..."the same day Lot went out of Sodom"...judgment! (Luke 17:29)]

[1.] was there a great earthquake, and

[2.] the tenth part of the city fell, and

[3.] in the earthquake were slain of men

[a.] seven thousand: and

[4.] the remnant were affrighted, and

[a.] gave glory to the God of heaven.

[*The rocks cried out for the first time in announcement of judgment at the Rapture of the Church (Rev. 6:12-17; c/p. Luke. 19:40). See also When The Rocks Cry Out, and Seven Prophetic Pictures of the Rapture.]
